The Journal of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences (JPHCS) was launched in January 2015 as an open-access international journal and was indexed in PubMed in February 2016. Members are supported in their efforts to publish papers in English, and the journal receives many submissions from other countries. The JPHCS has been assigned the Journal Impact Factor since the 2023 release.
The Journal of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences aims to support the Society’s mission of strengthening and developing the academic foundation of pharmaceutical health care and sciences, as well as to be a journal that contributes to the advancement of this field by disseminating research findings globally through open access and circulating such findings more widely.
We look forward to active submissions from Society members.

Types of Articles
The JPHCS publishes the following four types of articles.
Reports of data from original research
Reports of clinical cases that can be educational, describe a diagnostic or therapeutic dilemma, suggest an association, or present an important adverse reaction.
All case report articles should be accompanied by written and signed consent to publish the information from the patients or their guardians.
Comprehensive, authoritative descriptions of any subject within the journal’s scope. Reviews in JPHCS are by invitation only.

Guidance
- Please be sure to use the proper submission format appropriate to the article type when submitting articles. The format can be downloaded from the “Criteria” section within the submission guidelines for each article type on the journal website. Please note that papers not using the format will not be accepted.
- The submission of papers using generative AI, such as ChatGPT, is not permitted under the publisher’s regulations. Please visit here for details.
- Since the JPHCS is an English-language journal, please conduct all communications during the peer review process in the system in English. Please be aware that if comments are made in Japanese, they will be returned.
APC
The JPHCS uses an open-access publishing model, and publication of articles requires payment by the author of an article-processing charge (APC).
If the first author of the paper is a member of the Society, the JSPHCS will cover part of the APC, enabling publication at a discounted rate.The The fees are as follows.
